KILIMANJARO. MACHAME ROUTE (5895m)
August - September 2024
September - December 2025

Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano and the highest point of Africa. The name Kilimanjaro is said to derive from a combination of words in Swahili and a local Chagga tribe`s language, and supposingly means “Shining Mountain”. Despite the fact that the mountain lies just 205 miles from the equator (3 degrees South latitude) one of its summits is always covered with snow.

Kilimanjaro is an ideal mountain for beginners: hiking is technically easy and you will have a chance to understand if mountaineering is really your dream. Nevertheless, do not underestimate it. Altitude reminds about itself even on the easiest mountains. Kilimanjaro is not an exception, so you better take it seriously and prepare well for the climb. Kilimanjaro is famous for incredible sunsets and sunrises. I would certainly call it an exceptional pleasure to watch them. An essential and authentic part of this trip is an unforgettable safari in several National parks and a visit to the Maasai village. You will fully get into the spirit of Africa.
